Unlicensed electrical work can be a tempting, but almost always results in hidden shock and fire hazards, and expensive property damage. It’s never worth the risk.
Let’s discuss your vision today and get your renovation done right, the first time!
Repairs & Troubleshooting
Starting from $ 200 + hst
Electrical issues can be extremely hazardous to safety and property. Do not ignore warning signs like burning smells, scorch marks, or melted plastic around devices; these are emergencies requiring immediate attention from a professional electrician.
With over 15 years in the industry we’ve seen it all, and can quickly diagnose and repair electrical problems. Trust our proven expertise to safely restore and protect your electrical system. Attempting repairs without experience can worsen the issue or create serious hazards.
Contact us immediately at the sign of hazards for safe troubleshooting and repairs.
Electric Vehicle Charger Installation
Starting from $ x + hst
Charge your electric vehicle quickly and conveniently right from home with a Level 2 EV charger installation. Enjoy significantly faster charging times, enhanced efficiency, and peace of mind knowing your car is always ready when you are.
Installation by a qualified, licensed electrical contractor ensures compliance with safety standards, protects your home’s electrical system from being overloaded, and maintains warranty coverage on your vehicle. Remember, EV charger installation is not a DIY job. Trust a professional to safely deliver reliable charging performance, protecting both your investment and your family.
For more detailed information, see our EV Charging page.
Panel Upgrades & Replacements
Starting from $ x + hst
The electrical panel is the central point protecting your entire home’s electrical system. We recommend replacing your panel every 20-25 years to mitigate hazards before they become a problem.
You may also decide it’s time for an upgrade if your old 100 amp panel has insufficient amperage for new heavy-duty loads, or if you detect hazards such as burning smell, scorch marks, corrosion, or physical damage. We recommend replacing screw-in fuse panels or Federal Pioneer panels as soon as possible. As panel upgrade specialists, we are here to discuss your concerns and options.
For more detailed information about panel upgrades, see our Panel Upgrades page.
Sub Panels
Starting from $ x + hst
Installing a sub panel offers increased convenience and flexibility, especially for garages, workshops, or detached structures where circuits may be added in the future. This allows the circuits to be wired to the nearby sub panel, instead of all the way back to the main panel.
Also, if your main electrical panel has run out of breaker spaces, adding a sub panel can be a more affordable solution than replacing the entire panel. Note however that this only provides additional breaker slots, not extra power capacity.
Pricing varies based on distance from the main panel, power requirements, and if the route is through finished walls or underground.
Standby Generators
Starting from $ x + hst
Protect your home from power outages with a professionally installed whole-home standby generator. When utility power fails, an automatic transfer switch detects the outage, starts your generator, and safely restores power to your home within moments. Once utility power returns, the system seamlessly switches back and shuts down the generator automatically.
As experienced installers, we handle the entire process – from sourcing quality equipment such as Generac generators and transfer switches, to site preparation, delivery, utility coordination, ESA inspections, and even arranging the gas connections if required.
Installation takes several days and requires co-ordination with the utility weeks ahead of time, so let’s start the process today!
Hot Tub Wiring
Starting from $ x + hst
Installing a hot tub is a great way to increase your home’s value, and an excellent way to relax and unwind. Proper electrical wiring is critical, as water and electricity can pose serious hazards. We ensure safe, code-compliant installation, with critical GFCI protection to guard against electrical shock. Underground wiring must also be at a suitable depth with mechanical protection based on its location.
Pricing varies based on your hot tub’s amp rating, distance to the electrical panel, and length of underground wiring required. Our professional installations typically take 1-2 days, including necessary trench digging and backfilling. Since a hot tub is a major electrical load requiring a lot of power, we will first determine that your electrical panel has the capacity to manage it safely.
Pool Equipment Wiring
Starting from $ x + hst
Installing a pool has many benefits including increased home value, and a place to exercise, relax and have fun. Much like with hot tubs, safe and code-compliant electrical wiring is critical due to life-threatening risks associated with electricity around water. We ensure all electrical equipment is GFCI protected, bonded, and mechanically protected as required.
Pricing varies by distance to the main electrical panel, and if the wiring needs to be run underground or through finished areas inside the house. Installation typically takes one day, possibly longer if trenching is required. Consider upgrading at the same time with a sub-panel near the pool equipment, conveniently providing capacity for possible future outdoor electrical additions, saving money in the long run.
Smart Home Upgrades
Pricing varies by requirements
Upgrade your lifestyle with a smart home ecosystem that offers unmatched convenience, energy savings, and increased home security. Control lighting, outlets, blinds, TVs, and more right from your phone or voice assistant.
We recommend proven and reliable systems such as Lutron Caseta and TP-Link Kasa systems, for optimal performance, connectivity, and ease of use. We can also install any other system you supply as long as it is approved for use in Canada.
Pricing depends mainly on how many devices you’re upgrading. Our cost per device decreases as we replace more, making it most cost-effective to transform your entire home. Note that we can not help with software setup or tech support, only installation.
Electrical Home Safety Inspection
Starting from $ x + hst
Protect your home with our comprehensive Electrical Home Safety Inspection (EHSI). A qualified electrician conducts our proprietary 100+ point inspection, carefully examining your entire electrical system. You’ll receive a detailed report outlining high-risk safety hazards, electrical code violations, and recommended repairs. Be proactive with your property investment – undiagnosed electrical hazards can become serious danger to safety and property over time if left unchecked.
Pricing is fixed by location, covering inspection only. Inspection may take a few hours. Some repairs may be completed during our initial visit; otherwise, we’ll discuss options and schedule follow-up appointments as needed. Reports typically emailed within 24 hours. Note that this is not an ESA inspection – this is an optional and far more thorough inspection of your entire electrical system.
Aluminum Wire Safety Inspection
Starting from $ x + hst
If your home still has aluminum wiring, consider our Aluminum Wire Safety Inspection (AWSI). Aluminum wiring can pose serious fire risks if improperly installed. Copper and aluminum expand differently, causing connections to loosen over time, potentially leading to dangerous overheating. Devices not rated specifically for aluminum wiring may cause galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals, further increasing fire hazards. Improper installation can also result in aluminum wire oxidation, which can also cause overheating.
Our inspection typically takes about an hour and does not require opening every device in the house to get the information we need. Similar to our Electrical Home Safety Inspection, you’ll receive a report outlining our findings and recommendations by email, normally within 24 hours. Pricing is fixed by location and covers inspection only, any repairs can be carried out in a follow up visit.
Knob-and-Tube Rewiring
Pricing varies by requirements
Knob-and-tube wiring poses significant hazards, including increased fire risk, electrical shock, and insulation deterioration. Most insurance companies either refuse coverage or charge substantially higher premiums for homes with this outdated wiring, and rewiring your home can notably reduce your insurance costs.
We guarantee a safe, code-compliant installation, providing peace of mind and a more functional electrical system. Additionally, rewiring offers the perfect opportunity to relocate lights, switches, and outlets, customizing your electrical system exactly to your preferences. Protect your home and family by upgrading today.
Metering
Starting from $ x + hst
Your meter is the device that tracks your electricity usage for the utility, usually found on the side of your house near the street in a large grey box called the “meter base.” While your electric utility provider owns the meter itself, the meter base and all components beyond it are part of your property and unfortunately your responsibility as a homeowner to maintain and replace if needed.
Meter bases must be kept in good working order to ensure reliable electrical service. We replace damaged or outdated meter bases and can install multi-meter units to separate utility bills in multi-unit properties. Most meter-base projects require utility power disconnection, which typically needs to be scheduled weeks ahead – consider upgrading your electrical panel or service simultaneously to save costs and future disruptions.
LED Pot Lights / Recessed Lighting
Starting from $ x + hst
Transform your home’s ambiance with professionally installed pot lights, improving brightness, modernizing appearance, and increasing home value. We supply and install Liteline recessed lighting for their proven reliability and performance. Existing pot lights can also be upgraded to energy-saving LED. Optional upgrades, like dimmers or smart home systems, can further enhance your lighting experience. Avoid cheap LED alternatives that dim poorly and fail prematurely.
Proper installation typically involves cutting at least one extra hole to fish wire, but we have ways to limit this. We caution against installers claiming they don’t need to cut any extra holes – they may cut corners and drill blindly through ceiling joists, risking damage to hidden plumbing or other electrical. Drywall repair can be arranged separately upon request.
Undercabinet Lighting
Starting from $ x + hst
Transform your kitchen’s functionality and impress your guests with high-end undercabinet lighting. Our Liteline dimmable LED fixtures provide 5 selectable color temperatures – from warm to cool light- with easily adjustable settings, letting you customize your kitchen’s ambiance and change it anytime.
Unlike typical LED bulbs, these integrated fixtures offer superior performance, reliability, and longevity, likely to outlast the kitchen itself.
Pricing is mainly based on the number of connected cabinetry sections, total lighting length, and whether a new switch installation is required.
Trace Circuits & Remake Panel Directory
Starting from $ x + hst
Clearly labelled electrical panels are important for safety, convenience, and efficiency – especially during emergencies. We can trace and relabel your home’s circuits using specialized equipment capable of detecting wires behind walls and underground, efficiently mapping every circuit. This detailed approach ensures accuracy and saves time on future electrical projects.
Circuit tracing and relabelling typically take half a day or less. Consider bundling this service with other electrical upgrades to reduce overall cost and maximize the value of your investment.
Interconnected Smoke Detectors
Starting from $ x + hst
Your home’s smoke detector system is the critical last line of defense against fires. An interconnected system activates all detectors simultaneously if any single unit detects smoke or carbon monoxide, maximizing your response time and safety.
Ontario Building Code mandates one smoke detector per floor, including one in each bedroom and in the connecting hallway outside bedrooms, with homes built after 1990 requiring fully hardwired, interconnected units throughout the house.
Installation often involves cutting at least one hole in drywall to fish wires through finished walls, and we can arrange drywall repair for you separately if desired. The price of the job varies based mostly on the number of detectors and the distance between them.
